Welcome to Strength Perfected. My name is Kevin. First of all, let me tell you a bit about myself.
For the past five years, weightlifting along with all its aspects, has been my passion. I have tried and tested numerous training methods, as well as multiple products in the fitness world.
It all started when I weighed around 128 lbs at 5 ft 11 in. I decided that I wanted to become more beefy and strong.
My dedication showed results, as I was able to gain over 30 lbs of lean muscle mass. That is just one side of the story, the other one being that my confidence increased a lot as well.
Seeing such results is a feeling that I cannot describe.
Now, five years later, I feel like I am in a position that allows me to teach people a lot on the subject of fitness.
Exercise is just one element of getting great results. Nutrition proves to be just as important. All your hard work goes to waste if you don’t supply your body with all the necessary nutrients to grow and recover.
Of course, you don’t want to take things too far in the gym. Needless to say, recovery is an absolute must.
Last but not least is the principle of consistency. If you want to improve on your physique and health, you will need to be consistent. Otherwise, all of your effort will be in vain.
I have dubbed the combination of these four elements as ‘Strength Perfected’.
On the subject of fitness and everything around it, there is a lot of information floating around on the internet. However, a large portion of it results in more questions.
A lot of fitness sites promise the same: to build an unreal amount of lean muscle mass within a short period. Let’s not forget that you will then often be lured to try their expensive supplements in order to gain even faster progress.
Strength Perfected provides all of its information based on scientific research, studies and of course some personal experience. It is of high importance to us that people are educated properly.
Goals Lead to Success
While I was growing up I was always the small and timid. Up to age 14, I only was about 5 ft and I weighed about 110 lbs.
However, I liked being physically active. My father had an old bench press in the basement, which I often used. I never truly made good results though.
That was the case, until I really started to learn about what working out means. Building strength and muscle requires patience, a good set of exercises, solid nutrition and enough sleep.
Finally realizing this, I set a goal for myself. In 1 year, I wanted to put on 15-20 lbs of muscle mass, without resorting to steroids or other enhancements.
I succeeded. And you know what the best part was?
I didn’t even notice becoming that much stronger and muscular until my friends and colleagues started pointing it out.
You have no idea how it felt to be complemented on all the hard work you put in. It fuels your inner fire, which in turn drives you to go even further.
Practice Makes Perfect
Building strength and muscle is something a lot of people want to achieve. However, it can be overwhelming at times.
Beginning lifters often don’t know what they are doing. Having a proper workout plan is of course very important, but the same can be said about how you perform an exercise.
All in all: beginners lack knowledge about how to achieve their goals.
Intermediate and advanced lifters do know a lot about fitness and all the rest, but that doesn’t mean that they do not experience any struggles.
We all keep learning, and it is this practice that eventually will show results. It is important to remain patient and to set your ego aside.
Here’s to becoming the best version of yourself!
